Cannabis and Hemp both derive of the same family (cannabinaceae) and genus (Cannabis). This can be extremely confusing for those new to this food supplement. While its true that Hemp and Cannabis both come from the same plant - Cannabis Sativa- they are grown and sold for very different purposes.
The government requires vendors use the term "Hemp" products to denote the products they sell have less than .03% THC.
Cannabis products are products with more than .03% THC.
