Start low. Go slow. Titrate up.

One of the first questions people ask about using Hemp Extract for their animal friend is “How Much CBD Does My Animal Need?” Here at Cannimal we reply: Start low. Go slow. Titrate up.
This maxim is the root of Cannimal’s dosing protocol. But many people ask, what does that maxim mean?

Titration is a common practice in determining the best Cannabinoid dose.
Titration is the process of adjusting the dose of a supplement or substance for the maximum benefit without adverse effects. In other words, we start with a low dose, and add more based on the effects we observe.
When a substance has a narrow therapeutic index (concentration of substance in relation to desired effect), titration is especially important, because the range between the dose at which a substance is effective and the dose at which side effects occur is small.

This may sound like a lot of complicated terminology but it really very simple when you simply use the maxim: start low, go slow, titrate up as your touchstone. We take dosing very seriously, and NEVER encourage overdosing any cannabinoid based product that is why we created The Cannimal Dosing Protocol. Click here to read!
